Juanita Bynum: Is this A Case of Battered Wife and Bitter Husband?

Praise the Lord!
Come in my sisters and have a seat so we can drink some tea together. Today we are going to chat about........Battered Wives and there Bitter Husbands.

I must say I'm not a follower of Propet Juanita Bynum's ministry(picture to the left); however, I was concern and sadden to here about the alleged incident with Prophet Juanita Bynum and her husband Thomas Weeks.
According to news report they had a physical/violent incident in a parking lot. Reports said they were trying to reconcile their marriage. One report stated that Pastor Weeks may have had some jealous issues with his wife ministy. The alleged incident was truly disturbing; however, it made me reexamine the fact that according to our national statistics 25% of women in the pews in church are dealing with domestic violence issues.
Paul reminds us that Domestic Violence is not an acceptable thing. When husbands and wives communicate they have to do it in an effective manner. The word says, "speak evil of none to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all men (Titus 3:2). The word applies to husband and wives relationship. I wish many pastors would begin to remind the men of their churches their role as head of the household. Too many just stick on the issue of submission of the woman and some uneducated men just don't know how to interpret the word of God.The issues of the world is also in the church so we have to know how to identify the signs so we can help people with their problems.
Some signs to look for in your marriage to see if its time for counseling:
Is your mate etremely jealous, threatens you, frighten you, isolate you from family and friends, control where you go and who you talk to, says your amking them crazy by your behavior, blames you for their abusive behavior, berate, disempower, mock your spiritual beliefs, destroy your personal belongings, frequently criticise you, talk badly about your looks or weight, insults your beliefs, restrict your access to worship, abuse your credit, withhold or steal money, control financial decisions, or sabotage your ability to make an income.
Sisters if you mate shows any of these behavior seek help. Many will notice the physical but do you ignore the emotional and spiritual abuse you are enduring? If you are concern with what your church members may say or think (Get out of your bondage! God knows and thats all that matters), please call your local Domestic Violence Hotline. They will talk to you and give you advice which will help you take the first step. Pray that the Lord will guide you and be your strength. The Lord does hate Divorce but he doesn't speak against separation.
