Do You Have An Attitude of Christ?

WALKING IN YOUR WORD WEDNESDAY

Praise the Lord, Sisters in Christ!
Today I want to ask you if you have an Attitude of Christ?
Do you have a spirit of Joy?

READ THE TEXT:  Philippians 2
(New Living Translation)

Verse 1  Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ?
Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit?
Are your hearts tender and compassionate?

Ladies, the Lord is talking to you. Sit down and answer these questions on a piece of paper. As Chrisitans the word reminds us that we should have an attitude for Christ.

How is your attitude right now?  Verse 3 cuts to the chase, It says: Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of other s as better than yourselves. 4  Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. 5  You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

Ouch!!! You mean, God wants us to care about people. The sick? homeless? my neighbor?
Oh no, do you think he wants me to VOLUNTEER! Ladies, how is your attitude today towards others. The Lord sent you by this blog for a reason. Its time for you to put your attitude in check.

Verse 8 says--he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.          If God did all this for us, I guess it should be anything for us to help those he has placed in our path.
In closing, You know what God has told you to do, its time for you to see things through God's eye   and not your own. Check your nasty attitude at the door and take on a heart of Christ. Verse 14 - 16 sums it up very well.

14 Do everything without complaining and arguing, 15 so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. 16 Hold firmly to the word of life; then, on the day of Christ’s return, I will be proud that I did not run the race in vain and that my work was not useless.
