tea and lets talk about ...Abortion.

Have you or someone you know had an abortion? It seems abortion is still a hush issue in the church.

However, the younger generation need to understand that the Lord is not pleased with abortion despite what the culture says.

Millions of young women and many in the church are turning to abortion. I am not sure if the its the social shame of being unwed and pregnant in the church but women are really breaking the Lords commandment as well as hurting their bodies.

Our recent earthquake on the east coast reminds us that life is so precious and it can change in seconds. Abortion according to the Word of the Lord is wrong. You do not have the power to take a life without facing some consequence. We have to let Christian women know that this is a serious spiritual decision.

When I think about abortion I think about Tyler Perry movie For Colored Girls. It explored how shame can justify the SIN of abortion. It is easy for a HURT person to HURT others and even their own unborn child. It is easy for Plan Parenthood to target poor women who may feel more disconnected from the coummunity.

Abby Johnson new book Unplanned is very interesting because Abby worked and volunteered for Planned Parenthood for eight years. For the last year of her employment, Christ had been working on her heart. Although she didn’t understand why, Abby had begun to question her work and the motivations of the company she had dedicated herself to for eight years.

In September 2009, she saw something that forever changed her mind on the issue of abortion. Abby was asked to assist in an ultrasound guided abortion procedure. On the ultrasound screen she saw a 13 week baby in the womb fight for its life…only to lose the battle in the end.

We have to let our daughter know that if they make a mistake then they should come to us and consider raising their babies or adoption. Abortion is never a option for Christian women.
