Women of the Year: Gabby Douglass

Sisters, come on in and grab a cup of tea. Let's talk about ...
Gabrielle "Gabby" Douglass. She was named the Essence Magazine 2012 Women of the Year.

I am so proud of Gabby Douglass for living the American Dream. I was so upset when I saw how many people were so mean and evil to this young teenage girl who dedicated her life to her field of Gymnastic.

Imagine, we encourage our children to do their best. We drill in their head the importance of dedication and following through what you start. We teach them that life is not easy but dreams are not impossible. If you just B-E-L-I-E-V-E. We sing songs to the children. "I believe the children are the future..." "I believe I can fly.."

But when one of our own American girl was representing our country to the world, guess what? Many people didn't show her love like they should have and they didn't embrace her like they did many before her. I was so dissappointed. I think too because she is a young girl of faith. Who shared to the world how she stays in the word.

Well, I am happy to see that Miss Gabrielle Douglass is being recognize as the shining "Star" she is and that she is letting the Morning Star reign in her life.

I pray the Lord will send only those who truly love and care for her well being in her inner circle. I pray her mother will continue to be right there watching over her until she is at least 21. I pray the Lord will sent her the right Christians to mentor her life.

If your excited like me about this great honor. Let Essence know and actually purchase a copy the next time you go to the grocery store. www.essence.com
